Holosync Review

Could it be possible to reach a meditative state? In my Holosync review, I want to share with you my experiences. But first, what is Holosync? It’s a recording that you play on a CD using stereo headphones. The stereo part is important, because Holosync uses binaural technology to send different frequency sounds to each ear. These frequencies play with each other and work together to help produce brainwave patterns experienced in different levels of meditation.

At first, I was skeptical. How could just listening to something put you into a trance like state? Now, I hadn’t ever really meditated much, so I wasn’t an experienced practitioner. In fact, the few times I had reached some sort of meditative state had been using guided visualization. Most of those only lasted 20 or 30 minutes, tops, but I usually came out of them refreshed. So I was at least willing to experiment with another. So I sent off for the demo CD from Centerpointe.

After listening to the demo cd, I knew I had to try more. I don’t know how to describe how I felt other than I felt tingly… Full of energy. And this was with a weakened version of the program. So, when I had enough money, I sent off for the program.

Holosync actually has several levels. The first of which is the Prologue. The Holosync Prologue helps prepare your brain for the deeper levels experienced later on. The Prologue has two parts: the dive and immersion, each of which is 30 minutes long.

One of the things that I like about Holosync is that you don’t have to know any “techniques” to successfully meditate. You can if you want to, but it is not a requirement.

I’m not quite sure why, but since using the prologue, I haven’t ever really felt the same tingly sensation that I experienced with the Demo CD, but that’s okay. According to Centerpointe founder and Holosync creator, Bill Harris, “Let whatever happens be okay.” What this means is that my experience could be different from yours in sensations and experiences during the meditation as well as how it affects you in the day to day.

Since using the Prologue, I’ve noticed that I am more focused, particularly on days I remember to use the meditation CDs. Sometimes, I’ll admit, I forget to use them, but that is one thing that always seems to happen. I also tend to be more stable emotionally when I am listening to the meditations. Things that seem like major irritations fade away and disappear.

One thing I notice during the meditations is I do tend to “loose consciousness” It’s not that I go to sleep, but I seem to drift off somewhere else, even if only for a brief time. Part of this could be because I usually lie down (not recommended by the program, but in my household, sometimes it’s easier to pretend to be “asleep” so that I’m not disturbed while listening to the CDs), but it could be one of the experiences one might find with using meditations. Also, I sometimes find, especially towards the beginning and end, my mind seems to be wandering all over the place. I try to follow Bill’s mantra of letting whatever happen be okay when this happens.

Now that I have been using them for a while, I have noticed the sensations that I do have seem weaker than they were. This is one indication that it is time to move on to the next level, which I plan to do in the near future. When I do, I’ll add more details to this Holosync Review to fill you in on what to expect as you progress through the program.

Just the other day, I changed the headphones I was using… HUGE difference!  I had been using “ear bud’ earphones, but I switched to a kind that covers the ears.  This pair wasn’t a noise canceling pair, though the design is similar.  In just a few sessions, I have felt more energized using this better headphones, so it is worth the money to get you some good headphones to listen to these tracks with!
